Winter Light - Wenatchee Crest Snowshoe, WA.
The back side of the Central Cascades, WA - as seen here looking West from the Wenactchee Crest trail. Spent a sunny Sunday in the snow. It was a delightful day for a romp with snowshoes. Came across several game tracks, a coyote carcass, and spotted a bald eagle cruising high above the Swuak Creek basin. Views to the south were equally impressive with glances of Rainier and Adams in the distant horizon. Lunch included a mighty fine winter warmer; spicy hot chocolate with bourbon. Yum.
